'The American People Want $2,000': House Votes to Increase Stimulus Payment, Unlikely to Pass GOP Senate

The Democrat-controlled House of Representatives voted Monday to increase the amount of individual relief payments to $2,000 -- an effort that President Trump had been pushing.  But it is unlikely to pass the Republican-controlled Senate. So far, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has not indicated if the body will take up the bill despite Democrat pressure.
